Diver Duck Hunting in Northwest Florida

Most people don't think of Florida as a duck hunting state. They think of beaches, vacations and sunshine. Don't be fooled! Diver ducks come down to the panhandle and stay with us during the winter, inhabiting our clear bays and lakes in big numbers.

You'll either be in a layout boat, wading in the water with a few palm fronds or ashore behind a Tanglefree panel blind. This is all dependent upon the conditions, wind direction, speed and other factors.

Our friends at RNT-V came down this past winter to check it out for themselves. Although they're used to hunting in remote locations in Canada and the Dakota's - they all agreed that Florida was a great change of pace.
