4 FUN Things To Do During Your Trip to 30A (That Don't Include Beachin'!)
For most people, when they hear "30A", they think of the beach. Some may say that the emerald coast has some of the most beautiful, white sandy beaches - and we totally agree - but there is also much more to 30A than meets the eye.
For some, that's all they need for a week straight. Laying out, getting sandy, dipping their toes in the water & repeat. But for others, the ones that need a little more on their to-do list - this article is for you! Below are 4 things to do during your visit to 30A (other than beachin'!)
1. Fishing Charter
I'm sure you could have guessed we would mention this one. Well, we can't help it! A fishing charter really is the best addition to your trip to 30A. Captain Hunter or Captain Troy will ensure your fishing experience is a great one. We provide the licenses, tackle and bait - you just bring some drinks/snacks and a good attitude! This is a private charter so you won't be sharing the boat with another group. Each boat can accommodate up to 6 people and lasts 4 hours.
We fish the Choctawhatchee Bay, which offers calm waters, great for kids and those who get sea sick. No experience is needed! Our pick up location is in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach, right off HWY 393.
2. Beach Bonfire
Beach bonfires are a great way to get your family or friends together. 30A Beachside Fires provides everything - an attendant to tend to the fire, the permit, bonfire pit, firewood, beach chairs, table, bluetooth speaker and even S'MORES! Then, they clean it all up.
Sit back and relax, watch the sunset and enjoy time with your family.
You can contact 30A Beachside Fires by call or text at 502-689-1005 or 850-687-0572 / 30abeachsidefires@gmail.com
3. Golfing
Santa Rosa Beach has a great variety of golf courses. Below are our favorites.
Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club - With an 18 hole, par 72, the course offers a challenge from five sets of tees for those of every skill level or handicap. Holes three through five wind around a complex of dunes - all within a few hundred yards of the Gulf of Mexico.
Sandestin - Within Sandestin, there are 5 different courses. Baytowne Golf Club, Burnt Pine Golf Club, Raven Golf Club and The Links Course. Each of these courses have their own special challenges, rewards and unique characteristics. Click here to learn more!
4. Local Events & Concerts
For just about every season other than winter, you can find an abundance of free concerts and events around Santa Rosa Beach.
Baytowne Wharf is always up for throwing a party. They host concerts on Wednesday nights and "Boomin' Tuesdays" where they have fireworks, lawn games and inflatables. In addition, they have different events throughout the year including the popular Wine Festival, St. Paddy's Day Delight, Easter Explosion and more. Check their calendar of events for up to date activities.
The Hub is a great place to spend a half day eating, shopping and enjoying events. In March, they have a 25' LED Jumbotron to watch the games. This would be a great place to stop if you're on Spring Break with the family. They also have Movie Mondays, DJ Dance Party's and lots of live music.
Rosemary, Seaside and Gulf Place also have various events throughout the year. See 30A's calendar of events for more info!
